School Closure Extended to May 4 by Gov. Baker

March 25

Hello Atrium Community,

By now, many of you know that moments ago, Governor Charlie Baker extended the mandatory closing of K-12 public and private schools in Massachusetts until May 4.  Governor Baker's decision is in the best public interest.

At Atrium we've been anticipating such an extension, and preparing to sustain the incredible start we've all made to distance teaching and learning.  It's also true that for a tight-knit community like ours, this news brings sadness because we love to be together in each other's company.  I share that sadness, as I have come to cherish this community even more deeply in the last few weeks.

We all have questions about what this means, and what learning will look like during a longer closure.  Within a few days, Atrium will communicate further with you about our school's course forward.  We are all in this boat together, and I am powerfully inspired and motivated to keep our keel even, our sail up, and our boat headed onward.
