Physical Education
Atrium’s approach to education promotes confidence, creativity, and collaboration throughout all aspects of school. These same principles run through the fabric of Physical Education (PE). In PE class, students develop skills and relationships, accept challenges, and have tons of fun!
The Physical Education curriculum is designed to engage students physically, mentally, and socially so they can learn and thrive. Students participate in a variety of activities and games, exploring mental focus and interpersonal dynamics. Atrium’s program covers:
Cooperative Games
Competitive Games
Self-led Exploration & Activity
Children develop skills, strategies, athletic vocabulary, emotional awareness, and the capacity for strong collaboration. Every student becomes a valuable contributor to the team. PE classes for PreK–Grade 5 take place at school, while Middle School classes feature many off-site sessions, including indoor rock climbing at Central Rock Gym and yoga sessions in Watertown at Artemis Yoga.
In PE, we encourage our students to try new activities, develop their individual skills, and celebrate personal and team successes.
